Energy Efficiency Alberta (EEA) is dedicated to raising awareness about energy use and the promotion, design and delivery of programs supporting energy efficiency, energy conservation and the development of micro-generation and small-scale energy systems in Alberta. EEA’s work spans multiple industries and public institutions across the province. They support emerging technologies and financing tools that make our communities and businesses greener while reducing the cost burden: an excellent marriage of Alberta values. They build skills and knowledge in the energy efficiency space that help to round out Alberta’s already renowned reputation for innovation and entrepreneurism. They are also dedicated to helping Alberta’s energy efficiency industry grow to drive economic growth, diversify our economy and create local jobs for people like engineers, electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians and solar installers.

In their first few years of operations, EEA has helped Alberta avoid producing nearly six million tonnes of GHG emissions and saved businesses and individuals over $690 million through efficiency measures.

EEA believes that education is the foundation to energy efficiency. This is why EEA supports energy education, technical training for industry professionals, and community projects to enable Albertans’ to engage in energy-efficient actions in the places they work, live and play.
