Become An Earth Doctor
Do you want to be an Earth Doctor? Explore the steps of land reclamation with land reclamation scientists from Future Energy Systems and the Land Reclamation International Graduate School, University of Alberta.
By playing along with the Dungeons and Dragons style game, you will face the challenges of land reclamation and try to heal the Earth.
This session is recommended for children age 11 to 15, however, everyone is welcome.

Solar Series Webinar: Getting to 1.5: Updating Edmonton’s Energy Transition Strategy & Climate Action Plan
Adopted in late 2020, Edmonton’s new City Plan set clear and ambitious climate targets. In alignment with City Council’s commitment to meeting the Paris Agreement, the City Plan’s targets include: Staying within a total community-wide carbon budget of 135 megatonnes; Meeting a target of two million new urban trees planted; and reaching Zero net per-person GHG emissions Learn about what these new targets mean for the City and how they translate into on-the-ground climate actions.

Fort Chipewyan: Road to Lower Carbon Energy Mix
Join us to learn about Canada’s largest off-grid solar project, providing the remote Northern Alberta community of Fort Chipewyan (Fort Chip) with clean energy and reducing local diesel use by approximately 800,000 litres annually. In partnership with Three Nations Energy (3NE), ATCO designed and built the two-phased project which includes a 600-kW solar farm and a 2,200-kW solar farm owned by all three Indigenous communities and operated by ATCO.
