Modelled after the hit TV show Dragons’ Den, EcoPitch invites youth to present their environmental dream project to a panel of eco-celebrity judges.
How to apply
The program is an extension of the YEEG program, and will be presented at events like the Emerald Summit, but can also be presented in partnership with other events and environmentally-focused not-for-profits. Applications are reviewed by a panel of youth judges to select the top five pitches. The short-list of applicants present their pitch to a panel of eco-celebrity judges at the Emerald Summit.
Applications for fall 2019 are open.
Prize amounts are dependant on the event-specific budget. First and second place winners are eligible to also apply for the YEEG program within the year, permitting them to receive their EcoPitch grant and two allotted YEEGs.
The EcoPitch granted amount must be applied to the project that is presented and a follow-up report is required; however, all funds are provided upfront.
In the case of Emerald Summit events, EcoPitch applications open at the start of the school year.
