For over 30 years, Friends of Fish Creek Provincial Park Society has been dedicated to conserving natural spaces and fostering community engagement, envisioning a sustainable future where the park enhances the quality of life for present and future generations.
The society provides a range of services, including grassland area management, poplar regeneration, visitor information, and public consultation all of which contribute to optimizing biodiversity and restoring native ecosystems within the park. Highlights of their work include creating 4 solarization beds in the Heritage Grasslands and expansion area to restore the native plant communities and investing in staff, volunteers and civic organizations to plant poplars in key areas identified throughout Fish Creek
