We are a close-knit team of professional and passionate communicators and leaders.
Gregory’s (he/him) interest in everything green started at age 10 when he was given a book filled with environmental experiments and explanations. Many years later, Gregory joined the Alberta Emerald Foundation as the Communications and Outreach Manager and played a crucial role in the development of the current offering of programs. In 2019, Gregory took over the helm as Executive Director, and every day is filled with excitement for the people he gets to work with and the amazing initiatives he gets to oversee.
Outside of the AEF, Gregory has a deep passion for everything theatrical. He takes great pride in his growing vinyl collection and his two dogs. Gregory lives with his partner in Edmonton.
Communications & Outreach Manager
Emma considers (she/her)self a “tree hugger who found herself in communications”. Her love of the environment and sustainability began at Enviro Club in high school and continues to this day; she strives for a zero-waste lifestyle and volunteers with Waste Free Edmonton. She loves to travel, having worked in Paris, France after completing her Bachelor’s at the University of Alberta. She has an extensive communications background, including her Public Relations Diploma at MacEwan University, volunteer work with Heart of the City Music Program, and social media management with local agencies.
In her free time, you can find her at Zumba classes, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and betting on which queens are going to win RuPaul’s Drag Race with her friends.
Fund Development Coordinator
Lauren (she/her) has a Political Science and English degree from the University of Alberta and a decade of experience working at nonprofit organizations in fund development, program development, and event planning. In her spare time, she enjoys running, baking, spending time with her husband and children, volunteering with the Association for Safe Alternatives in Childbirth and supporting birthing persons in her role as a Birth Doula and Certified Lactation Educator.
