A Database of Environmental Excellence
Over the years, the Alberta Emerald Foundation has compiled a rich resource of environmental initiatives developed and implemented to protect and sustain our environment. This database consists of 1,900 nominations, including over 500 finalists and 200 recipients.
By making this database accessible to others, the Foundation hopes to provide examples for others to follow, to change attitudes and behaviours and secure our environmental future.
Please note:
- All nominations are reviewed by a panel of independent judges who are selected for their understanding and knowledge of environmental issues.
- The Foundation will not be held responsible as to the integrity of any individual initiative as the content of this database is based solely on the content provided in the nomination forms and does not include an external audit.
- Only those nominations selected as finalists and recipients have received any official recognition from the Emerald Foundation.
- Contact information is not regularly updated, although the Foundation will do its best if contacted by the nominee.
